Yes! the blackie of my previous company is finally GONE! hehe... Well, I'm not the only one that dislike him... In fact, I believe no one likes him. Only know how to create trouble and step on people... Ask for free liquor from contractors during Deepavali, demand freebies from contractors or he will make things difficult for the contractors to work.. As usual, I dun like to see this kind of unjustice things to happen, especially if it affect people i know.. But now that he is gone, oh, i will miss him(FOS)..
Its time to celebrate! Yeah! |

Background: Ever since end of 2008, i was tasked by my engineer to do some data collection for 10 selected buses. (Which i dunno what the hell its for! Had asked him but he just reply: All i need u to do is just to collect and report. ok lo...)
In order to get the data, I had to camp at Bedok interchange ever thursday morning till 2 pm +. As all are from the same srvice 196 and they dun come one after another. So my thurdays are wasted there. The only thing I gained from this Task is the chance to observe. Observe what? Well, I'm a guy of cos I will look at girls. But you will find more over there! As there were some booth for ppl to rent n sell their things and services there.. Wait a minute, "Service" ? Well, please think straight, I'm refering to AIA, prudential, geat eastern etc.. All trying to earn my money but too bad... gate closed. On every 1st and 15th of the chinese calender month, you will see long queue of elderly on certain bus services going to guan yin miao. But all this are still considered normal. What I wanna share is actually the "special characters" I encountered there while waiting for my buses to arrive.... +++++++++++++++++++++ Actually, if you go there frequent enough, you will see some regular faces in the interchange. The first one i know of, Is an old man, in his 60s? well dress, with normal shirt and pants, sometimes in polo T... His task? well, just to report to the locksmith there every morning, to collect few bucks then go for a meal, then start loitering around, do nothing! Omg.. +++++++++++++++++++++ Next, i would like to introduce to you is, also an old man, who looks older than the 1st one, see him loitering around evrytime also, but he walks the entire interchange. Why? to showcase his latest fashion. Not his cloths, but the funny cap he wears on his head. Always surprise me with a new one every week. How funy? Well, you can find Nimo, frog, mickey's ears etc. The latest i saw last week is a tiger, sewed onto his cap.. cute... well, what i can say is, he really attract alot of passerby's attention.. +++++++++++++++++++++ Just wonder, have you seen anyone display their "kong fu" while waiting for bus? The third "special character" I introducing is a man, maybe his is feeling too bored to wait for the bus, displayed a set of kong fu just next to the road, beside ppl queueing up in the interchange! Though I only see him once, but I think he is worth mentioning... wow... +++++++++++++++++++++ This forth "special character", I hope he dun appear again, cos he might "hum tum" me if he see me.... This happened few months ago... while waiting for the bus at the passenger alighting area. I notice a malay guy, with full leg protection gear and his bmx bike sitting on a raised platform along the area. Ok, its normal for people to sit there, then since my bus had not arrived i decide to sit on the platform too. but a distance away from him since the platform is big. Then out of the blue, he walk pass in front of me in near distance from my right to left with his left hand pointing middle finger! I can see his hand is bcos while walking pass me his hand is at around my eye level. At first, I still think its normal, maybe its his habit. But later I found out that I was wrong! Minutes later, he walk pass me in near distance again from my left to right with his right hand pointing middle finger! and walk back to his original postion. ok, this time i get it, THIS MIDDLE FINGER IS FOR ME. As a kind hearted gentleman, when ppl give you something you should return right? So, I wait for him to turn and look at my direction(he is on my right side), then I raised up my right hand, holding my hp, pretend to make a phone call with a full view of my right hand poining middle at him. Haha.... you can see see face turn black with fierce eyes staring at me(who cares). Then here comes the finale: the bus I waiting for arrived at this very moment and it stop right in front of him! So get up, walk towards the bus, board the bus. Turn back to him, SHow him both my middle finger before the entrace door closed and drive to the parking area. But it did not end there, this guy chased down my bus in the interchange with his bmx, bus captain wonder what happened and stop the bus awhile then he ride his bmx next to the entrance, trying to provoke me and spit on the entrance door before disappearing into the HDB blocks... Since then I dun see him around anymore... hoho... ++++++++++++++++++ The next, I would like to address him as "mobile begger" bcos, I see him walking from one end of the interchange to the other end, through the hawker and disappear... what he do? he look for ppl who look kind hearted, waiting for friends or bus in the interchange, talk to them in a pityful face, then the next thing i saw is the other party hand some money to him... I saw him half way through the interchange, while he was talking to a guy. Why i notice him? bcos of his tattoo on his legs... then after walking a few metres down, I saw him talking to another lady. That is when i decide to follow him, see how many ppl he approached. After taking money from the lady, he walk down to the hawker centre and talk to an auntie... Then, I saw him walking further down the pathway then out of my sight... Wonder how much he "earned" that thursday...... ++++++++++++++++++++++++ The last one i going to share is a young man, just happened last week. Saw this guy standing at the bus alighting area. Whenever anyone walk pass him, he will bow and say "sorry" sometimes in english, sometimes in chinese. At first when i notice he saying sorry, I thought he had accidently knock onto me etc... but after checking a few bus. I still see him standing at the same spot. Bowing and saying sorry to whoever walk pass him! OMG... he is so stressed out... END |

"Mum was complaining abt 1 incident last week. Baby was lying on the floor near the TV playing w a pair of scissors (open & close) pointing towards her face. Mum overheard Maid (sitting on the dining chair) using "mouth exercise" telling Baby nt to play while Maid was slicing pork in the kitchen. Maid cant be bothered to remove the weapon from Baby. Mum had to do it herself."
I Dun Like this! Is your Maid the same? |

Gracious Singapore? No no, not so after all... Was on the way home in the train today. As usual, during after office peak hours, the cabins are usually packed. (Nowadays in the trains there are few so call "priority seats" meant for people with special needs.. Usually placed near Exit Door) Saw these 2 "priority seats" being occupied by a young girl and a lady. When the train arrives at Katib station, 2 elderly man walks in, one of them even needs a crutch to walk and with the other man assist. At first I thought the young girl would give up her seat as she seats nearer to the door. But she did not move at all, although she see them entering the cabin. At first, I thought of walking towards her and asked her to give up her seats to the elderly man but seems to be not a nice thing to do. After looking around for available seats but found none, I decide to use the same method I used before in the same situation. That is, to look at the 2 sat passenger, especially the young girl, in a way that when they look at me, I will signal to them to make them aware that there is people who need the seat more than them. The young girl just look away(sigh....). But the lady sitting beside her get the hint and give up her seat to the man with crutch. I thank her when she stand up, with a disappointing glance at the young girl and turned away... Not sure is it because of that glance, when I turn back to check again, she had given up her seat to the other elderly man. What they have done is right, but do they need to be reminded then respond? That reminds me of what my secondary school principal told me once before: An Eagle Makes Things Happen. A Vulture Wait For Things To Happen. A Chicken Ask What Happen? So what you wanna be? Eagle? Vulture? or Chicken? My choice is Eagle, in the situation above. |
